On January 8, 2009 Fresno, CA was officially cataloged in the annuls of ABC reality show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”

Ty Pennington and his motivated team of designers gave the unforgettable wake up call to a well-deserved Mary Ann Riojas and family. Allright Diversified was a proud partner of DeYoung Properties who was chosen to be the builder in this extraordinary event.

Mary Ann Riojas deemed a “Hero at Home”, was born without legs and only one fully developed arm. In the face of adversity, this single mother of four has provided love and support to her children.

Mary Ann Riojas was named an Easter Seals Ambassador and later their national poster child. She was the first in her family to earn a college degree and now works with the local Housing Authority to help struggling families in the Fresno community.

The build was completed in 7 days. All products and labor were donated by the community and local businesses. On January 15, 2009 Mary Ann Riojas and her family stood before thousands of community supporters to shout those three quintessential words that changed their lives: Move That Bus!
